2017 Award Presented to Dr Tracy Riley of Massey University
The Board of giftEDnz have announced our very own Board Member Associate Professor Tracy Riley is the recipient of the giftEDnz Te Manu Kōtuku Award for 2017. The Te Manu Kōtuku Award is a prestigious award that celebrates the recipient’s outstanding service and contribution to the education and development of the gifted and talented children and young people of Aotearoa New Zealand. We are sure that members will agree that Tracy is a very deserving recipient of this award. The award was presented to Tracy at the giftEDnz Roadshow in Auckland on April 8th 2017 and we were thrilled to have Tracy deliver the Te Manu Kōtuku address at this event. Congratulations.
2014 Award Presented to Professor Roger Moltzen of the University of Waikato
"This is a fitting tribute to Roger who has committed his career to education, as a former teacher and principal turned academic. Roger is Professor and Dean of Education at the University of Waikato. His career focus as an academic has been primarily gifted and talented children and young people, and in order to understand how talent develops across the lifespan, Roger has in recent years investigated the lives of eminent adults."
